COORDINATION OF FUNDS TO PURCHASE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  FEDERAL AND STATE REQUIREMENTS
The local educational agency (LEA) must comply with the GENERAL AND FISCAL GUIDELINES framework.
The LEA that chooses to coordinate with the National Instructional Materials Access Center (NIMAC), when purchasing print instructional materials, must acquire the print instructional materials in the same manner and subject to the same conditions as the Texas Education Agency (TEA) acquires print instructional materials. The LEA is not required to coordinate with the NIMAC. Citations:
If the LEA chooses not to coordinate with the NIMAC, the LEA must provide an assurance to the TEA that the LEA will provide instructional materials to blind persons or other persons with print disabilities in a timely manner. Citations:
