ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A child with autism is one who has been determined to meet the criteria for autism. Citations:

The characteristics of autism are generally evident before age three, but the child who manifests the characteristics after age three could be identified as having autism if the eligibility criteria are satisfied. Citations:
